Do you have any BIPOC friends who should attend this retreat? If you are not from Colorado, we highly encourage you to apply to come to this retreat with 1-3 other friends. This is because these retreats are very intense experiences and it helps to have a local group of BIPOC friends to process and integrate this experience with. *

What is your past experience with trauma/stress healing? *

Tell us about your lived experience as a person of color. How does interacting with dominant structures and norms rooted in racism affect you? At our retreat, we care for everyone's healing and we also tend to focus on (i.e., center) the ongoing liberation of Black and Indigenous people. If you are white-passing, please reflect and share if you are okay letting this retreat focus on Indigenous and Black liberation. *

We focus on environmental and climate justice as a part of the polycrisis. Please see a short video (link below this question) to access a basic definition of polycrisis. Does climate or ecological grief impact you in conscious or unconscious ways? *

What gifts can you bring with yourself to this retreat community? *

Which spiritual teachers/authors/philosophers are you familiar with or inspired by? *

Will this be your first experience of silence, yoga or meditation? If yes, Are you okay with being a bit uncomfortable? Spiritual practice is not about being comfortable. *

How much will you be able to you pay for these retreats? *

The cost of putting together these retreat is $950 (for 6 day retreat). The sliding scale cost starts from $150 and details are mentioned on the two main webpages. Please review the cost structure carefully. We do not want to turn away anyone for lack of funds. However, your response will help us figure out how much external support we need to make this retreat financially possible. If you are a good fit for this retreat, we will do our best to not let finances come in the way of your attendence. Please email pocretreats@gmail.com if you need to discuss scholarships. If you can afford to pay more, it will be greatly appreciated in the spirit of gift economy.

Do you have any food allergies/requirements that our cooks should know about? *

Would you need a shared room indoors or could you camp outdoors if we are out of indoor space? We cannot provide camping gear. *

Given that we have limited number of indoor capacity in the pandemic times, please let us know if you can camp outdoors. Alternatively, please also let us know if you will not be able to attend the retreat if you do not get an indoor spot. We only have 4 single rooms that are for people with clear medical needs. Most people living indoor will have to share a room. If you have any specific request with respect to a roommate, please do let us know if your partner/room-mate is also applying for this retreat.

This COVID policy is subject to change. At the moment retreat center is allowing everyone who is willing to get PCR tested (or take two rapid tests) before the retreat starts to arrive at the center. For our information, please choose your vaccination status and/or your ability to take covid test below. *

If you are flying into Denver, you will have to arrive in Denver before 11:15 am on Monday August 18th to be able to reach the center before 2 pm. Please confirm that you can attend the entire retreat from 2 pm on August 18 to at least 2 pm on August 24th at the center. Center is 2.5 hours away from the Denver airport by public transport + car rides. We cannot accept part time participants because it breaks the energetic container as well as puts a lot of logistical pressure on our volunteer organizing team. *
