In addition to its regular activities, Ecodharma sangha is poised to be a local Ecosattva sangha.

One Earth Sangha is hosting an extended online EcoSattva training which will feature many renowned Buddhist teachers from across the world. The word Eco-sattva derives from “Ecology” and “Bodhisattva”.  Climate is already changing quite drastically and unless we act with clarity, wisdom and resolution, future catastrophic changes will destroy the thin layers of atmosphere, water and soil that make ecology and all plant, animal, bird and human life possible on our home planet.  In Mahayana tradition, the word “Bodhisattva” means someone who is motivated by deep compassion and works for the benefit of all sentient beings. What better opportunity to bring ease to sentient beings in the ten directions than to create examples of sustainable and harmonious lifestyles and help reverse root causes of worsening climate?

We invite Boulder-Denver contemplative community to join One Earth Sangha’s upcoming Ecosattva training with us. Why? Because climate disruption and its root causes are a great opportunity for us to clarify and deepen our contemplative practices! In this training, experienced Buddhist leaders from around the world will address how do we transform our grief and anger into rooted, appropriate and sustainable actions; and how do we practice “non-judgement” as well as “fierce compassion” and form a genuine inter-dependent and inter-being sangha that can meet this challenge of our lifetimes.

The sessions are on 2nd Saturdays and 4th Mondays of each month. Please email us to get the exact address of our South Boulder location.
